The Sound to Sea program is a two to three-day overnight environmental program offered to school groups from second to twelfth grade. Located at the Trinity Center, 62 acres of tranquil maritime forest on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, students, chaperones, and teachers experience a unique hands-on education, a Challenge Course, and special evening programs. The Trinity Center, owned and operated by the Episcopal Diocese of East Carolina, is an ideal meeting location with air-conditioned and heated dormitories which accommodate up to 80 students and 12 adults, dining facilities, sports fields, and a large group pavilion. In addition to the Sound to Sea program, Trinity Center is open to all denominations and non-profit groups who would like to bring their conference or retreat to this ideal setting. It offers large meeting rooms, 44 guest rooms, dining facilities for up to 225 people with three daily prepared meals, four dormitories, swimming pools, indoor and outdoor chapels, ocean beach frontage, sound-side docks, and numerous walking trails. Throughout the year, educational programs are scheduled for youth and adults, as well as retreats for prayer, worship, and reflection.
