Carteret Literacy Council
(252) 808-2020
4907 Bridges Street Ext. Suite D-F
Morehead City, NC 28557
The Carteret Literacy Council helps adults with reading, writing, math, citizenship, and everyday life skills. Private sessions are arranged by the tutor-student team who meet once or twice a week at a location convenient to both parties. Volunteer training is coordinated by the Literacy Council every three months. In addition, the program offers an annual business spelling bee each year in October and an outreach program that offers free presentations on literacy, and storytelling for the Head Start program. They offer an ESL English as a Second Language program for immigrants.
