Owned by Carteret Publishing Company of Morehead City, which also publishes the Carteret County News-Times, the paper covers news and activities in Swansboro, the eastern portion of Onslow County and western Carteret County. The communities covered by this weekly include Hubert, Bear Creek, Stella, Peletier, Cedar Point, Cape Carteret, Emerald Isle, Bogue and Ocean.
