January 5, 2021 Go fly a kite — or just come and watch as kite fliers kick off the New Year. This year, the high-flying action begins around noon in a new location:  Tom Doe Memorial Beach Access in Atlantic Beach. If you don't bring a kite, at least bring a camera and capture a fun way to bring in the New Year. For those who decide to participate, this event is good practice for the annual Carolina Kite Fest in October.
