2021 Season:  This series of runs is sponsored by the Carteret County Parks and Recreation Department begins in the spring. This family-friendly weekday series attracts local runners and walkers for evening runs. The 1-mile run/walk, 5K and 10K are on the beach and begin and end at the main beach access area, formerly known as The Circle, in Atlantic Beach. The fee is $7 per runner in advance, or $9 the day of the race. Registration for all seven races is available for $50. 2021 Race dates are Thursday May 13, Thursday May 27, Tuesday June 15, Tuesday June 29, Tuesday July 13,Tuesday July 27, and Tuesday August 10. Registration is online  Races begin at 6:30. Runners who participate in at least five of the first six races qualify for awards and a t-shirt.
