The Emerald Isle Parks & Recreation Community Center is open to residents and nonresidents, offering a full-size gym for basketball, volleyball, and indoor soccer. Group fitness classes include BODY SCULPT, DANCE FUSION, H.I.I.T., POUND, STEP, STRONG by Zumba, TABATA, YOGA, and ZUMBA.  Adult programs: S.A.F.E. & RETRANSITIONS. Check their website for days, times, and costs of classes. Outside you will find tennis courts, a basketball court, and a children's play area. Rates are $10 per day or $30 for a week. Annual memberships are also available for Emerald Isle residents and non-residents. From Labor Day to Memorial Day the center is open Monday through Friday 8 AM to 9 PM and Saturdays 9 AM to 4 PM. From Memorial Day to Labor Day it is open Monday through Friday 8 AM to 8 PM and Saturdays 9 AM to 4 PM. It is closed on Sundays. Children younger than 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
