This is a popular place with many city residents and guests. Members have use of the fully equipped weight room, loaded with free weights and machines, a gym with a full-size basketball court, and a game room with pool and Ping-Pong tables. The center also offers floor aerobics classes and yoga classes. Managed by the city's Parks and Recreation Department, this facility is likely the area's most affordable fitness center. Individual rates are $30 for city residents and $60 for non-residents. Family rates are $45 and $90. There are also special rates for use of the gym and game room, and those vary from $10 to $30 per year. High school and college students 16 years of age and older, regardless of where they live, can join the gym for $20 per year. Senior citizens age 62 and older who are residents can use the gym free of charge; non-city residents pay $20. The Community Center hours are Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 8 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 3 PM. It is closed Sunday.
